I'm the kind of person that needs to know how things work. From mechanical to technological, I strive to know what makes it tick. I used to take my Mom's kitchen appliances apart and fix them when I was young. Still ahead of the curve. Thanks for asking....
I have always had a passion for photography. Started off with a Canon TLB way back when. Used a Pentax ME for many years. Jumped into the digital age with a Pentax K20. Gave that one to my oldest, and now working with a Sony Alpha a7R III.
Please feel free to browse through my photos and let me know what you think.
Proud member of the IAFF Motorcycle Group. I've put on many kilometers, having been as far east as Ottawa, Chicago, and Texas. As far west as Southern California and Northern British Columbia.
Met some very nice people along the way, and developed some lasting friendships.
I'm pretty handy with tools. I have built 2 houses and totally renovated a few more. I enjoy building furniture, which will come in handy as my retirement home gets closer to compietion. I pride myself on craftsmanship and restoring old things. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it's trash. I can fix just about anything.
I spent almost 40 years fighting fire. Of course, the profession involves much more than that, and gets more technical with every passing day. Medical calls, rescues, and lots and lots of training. My Dad served for 56 years before and with me, and now my nephew is serving.
You're Welcome
I've been playing hockey for 58 years. Played mostly defence, with the odd foray as centre. I gave Junior Hockey a try as a defenceman with Merritt, and Penticton. I guess I wasn't "mean" enough. Played for many teams over the years, most notably the Delta Mad Dogs, and the L.A.Blazers. Switched to goaltender after a fairly serious injury 20 years ago. Still playing competitively in the local league, and still having fun.
